Thank You and Farewell DCS

Posted Date: 8/20/25 (2:00 PM)

Dear Dundee Community,

From my heart, I want to say thank you to Dundee Central School, the Dundee community and the many beloved students, colleagues, families and friends who have been part of my journey at DCS.

It’s hard to believe that 31 years have gone by since my wife and I moved to Yates County back in 1994. We had no idea just how special this place would become to us, and we quickly knew it was the right place to put down roots and raise our family.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to wear many hats at DCS—teacher, coach, and administrator—and each role has brought its own incredible moments. There have been celebrations and successes, and there have been challenges too, but I’m grateful for all of it. Every experience has taught me something and helped me to learn and grow.

What I’ll remember most are the people. I’ve been blessed to work alongside many gifted, caring colleagues and to share in the journeys of so many amazing students! This work has had true meaning and purpose, and the relationships I’ve built here have left a lasting mark on my heart.

I retire from education filled with gratitude, countless memories, and a genuine love and appreciation for Dundee. Even though I will be stepping away from DCS, I will "remain forever true to our Maroon and White.”

Thank you all for the privilege of serving with and for you, and for allowing me to call this school and community home for so many years.

With love and appreciation,

~ Chris Arnold
